PEGS is a leading provider of Child to Parent Abuse (CPA) training for frontline professionals. We run courses ranging from 90-minute introductory sessions to full-day sessions, and can also create bespoke training for specific groups if requested.
The aim of this training is to share knowledge, current research and case studies about CPA with anyone who may come into contact with families as part of their role.

HALF-DAY TRAINING
Our half-day ‘Understanding Child to Parent Abuse’ training course is designed to give everyone who attends as much knowledge about CPA as possible in a short time.
We recommend attendees already have a basic knowledge of CPA before attending the course – which features real-life case studies, up-to-date research and statistics, and plenty of opportunities for discussion.
Your PEGS trainer will also share plenty of practical ideas to help you work with families going forward.
FULL-DAY TRAINING
This interactive session is design to support individuals to upskill their practice, encourage professional curiosity and improve effective responses.
Among the topics covered are the risk factors, barriers, facts and myths associated with Child to Parent Abuse. As well as numerous case studies, there will be group activities, discussions, reflections and a next steps plan.
The day is aimed at professionals with some knowledge of domestic abuse who want to further their awareness and develop best-practice tools.
E-LEARNING
E-learning is a fantastic option for individuals looking to gain knowledge and understanding of aspects of CPA, without committing themselves to a specific time or date.
The modules are designed so that anyone can access these sessions at any time.
PRAM© TRAINING
PEGS has developed a dynamic tool which helps
professionals identify Child to Parent Abuse, as an alternative to existing models which mainly focus on intimate partner abuse.
Training on the PRAM© tool (PEGS’ Risk Awareness Model) takes the form of a half-day course which makes use of real-life case studies to help trainees learn how to use the model effectively.
